Just thinking

Can't tell you how many times I've come on here and wrote stuff, then never published. There is a good sized draft file here somewhere.

So I'm thinking about death, and I'm thinking I don't like to think about it.

I read the obituaries in the paper occasionally , morbid curiosity I guess.
You see someone who died at 95, you think "lived a good long life", and are fairly comfortable learning of their death.  You see someone who died at 25 and think "how sad, died so young". And are pissed about the cruel, and unfairness of a life cut short.

But, what if  that  95 year old had been miserable since he (she) was 20, and that their life has been a living hell for the last 75 years.
And the 25 year old never had a bad day, and was having the time of his (her) life,  and in fact died while having an orgasm during sex in free fall, with their beautiful  skydiving instructor.

So I'm thinking, I'm somewhere in age, near the difference in those two hypothetical examples.

If I were on my death bed, or facing my immanent demise, how would I sum up my life?

While my life, so far, certainly hasn't been unhappy or miserable. And I have very few regrets.
But considering the clock ticking, I should get busy and rack up some more fun, and joy! Time's a wastin!

Changes to Blog

I'm back to trying to figure out how to better use this blog, and to monetize it.  Monetize?   Yes I want to add Google AdSence.  In other words, there will be ads on the blog that will tend to follow what I write about on the blog, and if something in the ad interests you, and you click on it I will get a small (very small, about a penny) commission. That, in time may add up to something, or may not. You should not click on any add if your not interested.  If the ads become obtrusive, I'll remove them. I follow blogs with ads, and they don't bother me.
I'm also playing around with the layout and look of the blog. So bear with me. Like I said way back when I first started to blog, the more you use something, the better you get at it. A lot of us now use the social networking sites (Facebook, and Twitter) to keep up with friends and family, they are great for what they are. But for me a blog is more like a journal, or an opinion page. And lets face it, we all have our own story, and opinion.
And unlike Facebook, there is a lot less clutter with a blog.  And if readers like it, they can come back. If not, they won't. Also on my blog I can ad links to sites that I like, or am interested in, and you can check them out too.
Like this one http://web.thedailycourier.com/web_cam/ a live web cam  from Grants Pass looking down the river, located about a block from where I work. Use the back button to return to the Blog. So let me know what you think!
